I actually stopped for a second and thought what life would be like without Facebook, and I have to admit it sounds really, really nice. I think Facebook has been a bigger source of stress for me than anything remotely productive or helpful.

Maybe I'll just delete my account. Maybe.

This kind of thing has been happening for years. First (that I remember) was people sending mass emails to people because you were going to have to *gasp* PAY for Hotmail... then it was Myspace... and this isn't the first time I've heard something about FB either shutting down or charging it's users. All total bull****. Whenever I see emails like that from people I know (usually the same 1 or 2 extremely gullible people) it's sad, but I actually lose respect for them for buying into that stuff...

Addiction to anything is definitely BAD. The problem's not the object of the addiction itself (be it Facebook, alcohol, food, drugs, work or Guitar Hero). You can enjoy it wisely (in the case of a social networks, it can even get you work oportunities) or let it assume control of your life.
