No great loss, imo. I'm probably one of the few on the planet that doesn't have a fb account.

I knew one anti fb, but he fails and are a fb user every hour he can get online

I actually stopped for a second and thought what life would be like without Facebook, and I have to admit it sounds really, really nice. I think Facebook has been a bigger source of stress for me than anything remotely productive or helpful.

TB eats up my practice time, but I am still learning new things on a site like this. Now, Facebook has started eating up my TB time so I know this is a sign of degradation for sure

Apparently, though, a lot of useful stuff happens there as well. My cousin went in for a film course at NYU this summer, and got a large part of his info regarding the course on Facebook.

Funny how people is putting FB down while on another social platform.

It's not about dissing a social network while on a different site. I'm on the 'I Hate Facebook' group on Facebook as well

Champbassist; the point i'm trying to make is that FB is what you make of it. It doesn't matter if you spend time on FB or Talkbass; if you feel it takes too much time, maybe look inward?
But i found it funny that some of the people bashing FB, probably spend way too much time on Talkbass according to their significant others

Agree totally. Time wasted is time wasted

Just that IME, I find TB more useful than FB. Maybe I'm doing it wrong
