I did ask him for more pictures. If he sends any, I will gladly post them here.

I highly doubt even a Chinese knockoff can do those abolne inlays for under $400. Go over to Jemsite or the Gibson forums and see what they say about these Chinese knockoffs.

Aren't there decal sets out on Ebay for this? Probably good enough for a couple a low-res pictures on Ebay.
So your theory is that he buys legitimate, real Gibsons and Jacksons, removes the legitimate headstock logo, and sells them for below cost?

I don't know what my theory is, but something about all of his "business" is just wrong.
I don't want to speak for the other poster... but to me, this looks like he's doing one of the following:
1) Using photos of real instruments to approximate what his knock-offs will look like.
2) He's doing legit business in China, selling real instruments there and making knock-offs in the back room for online quick sales.
3) He's also dealing in complete forgeries and he's smart enough to not market them on Ebay, but not smart enough to doctor all of his photos so we can see his branded fakes in their boxes.
4) He's really the devil and this entire Ebay thing is how he gets you to sell him your soul... by offering you the forbidden fruit of knock-offs, forgeries and fakes... and you have to decide if you want to give up your soul to save some money and buy them, thus hurting legit manufacturers like Jackson, Gibson and Spector.
I like number 4 personally. But I concede there might be a very slight chance that it could be options 1,2 or 3. But not likely.
Damn, I hope the SX I bought today is not a fake by some Chinese fake factory![]()

Selling unauthorized copies is illegal.
Who here is brave enough to take the plunge? Any takers? Should we do what we did with WishBass and have everybody contribute $25 to pay for the bass, then ship it around?
