the labels say that these photos were taken in 87', though i think these were taken in 86',
while in the possession of his Luthier Kevin Kaufman,
shortly before the overhaul.

jaco had painted it purple, and destroyed it, then sent it to the tech,
the tech then completely re-did everything, even re-painting the bass its origional burst, and adding a badass II

You would think...like...after it gets destroyed like in those photos, you'd just get another bass and call it a day for that one. I mean, how could it possibly play as well as it did before?
