With transparent brown being a close second. I feel like there might be a lot of overlap between lovers of those two actually as they show off the wood in a semi-natural way.
Anything with grain show in.but I do like lake placid blue also is a close second

I have 3 basses - they're all sunburst... So I voted for blue...
I like a neutral or slightly off white ("off" meaning leaning just a little bit cool or just a little bit warm). Fresh Olympic, fresh Blonde, fresh Arctic, etc. But I don't like cream, significantly yellowed white, or blonde that has significantly yellowed to butterscotch, honey, "vintage" white, etc.
But I can't really vote with the given choices. "Plain/vintage/Olympic/cream" don't belong in the same category. Plain is neutral white. Vintage white is generally considered to be a yellowed Olympic White. Olympic White is a slightly cool and slightly darkened white when it is fresh. Cream is no different than vintage white to me. It would seem that "L.A. Teeth " white is exactly the same thing as "plain" white, which is already listed in another category. So how the hell do I vote when the extremely warm whites, the neutrals, and the slightly cool whites are all in the same category...yet there is another category that doubles the neutral white?
FWIW, here is a list of my basses and their colors:
'76 Fender Musicmaster Bass – naturally yellowed Olympic White (ugly as hell)
'77/'80 Music Man hybrid Stingray/Sabre bass – natural (ugly, but I will not modify)
'96 G&L L-2000 – natural (ugly; I will strip/refin in 3TSB nitro)
'90's/'00's MIJ/MIA hybrid Precision – black (can't argue with black)
AV '64 Jazz – fresh Olympic White (gorgeous)
AV '58 Precision – slightly warm blonde (gorgeous)
'19 American Performer Mustang Bass – metallic dark Burgundy (looks really good, but isn't "strikingly gorgeous" like my white ones)

a lotta love here for brown basses with woodgrain... here's my favorite brown-burst (My favorite bass period, at the moment...)
I like black or white or natural wood, I am building a natural wood with black hardware and have a black with Crome but like natural most of all

I have said here many times, sunburst or any burst is my favorite.
Probably, because as I was growing up in the 1960s, that was the color I saw most at block parties and in music stores. When I bought my first good bass, a 1975 P-bass, sunburst was still over-popular. After sunburst, it's natural, with dark natural winning out.

Whatever the colour, I almost always prefer matching headstocks.
For other styles of bass I generally prefer a glossy transparent finish so I can see the wood grain.
Least favourite: white with pickguard in a different shade of white or off-white. Either make it exactly the same colour or a different colour entirely.
Oh dear. For Fender basses my favourites are Lake Placid Blue and Sherwood Green, both with rosewood fingerboards. (I'd choose another colour to match a maple fingerboard.)
