Favorite bass for 3 hour gig?

More modern rock band:

I haven't weighed it yet, but it's gotta be around the 9 lb mark.

Oldies band:

This one's probably closer to 10 lbs or more, especially with the brass Hipshot.

And 4 hours is the norm around here.

Been managing with a Fender Jazz V (10lbs) or Ibanez ATK305 (10-3/4 lbs)...

My back gets sore at times, but I just take a couple Tylenol and continue.

At 54, four set/four hours gigs, six-eight per month, I suspect someday I’ll be looking for a lighter bass.

For you, whatever works for you.

Most of my gigs tend to be at least threee hours in duration, maybe 45 on, 15 off or thereabouts. Others are one set and out. In either case I take whatever I take. Weight makes no difference and I can do a 4 hour gig with a 12 lb. bass and not even notice it. Seriously. Might even hang around and play afterwards.
:D
