Favorite Bass Purchase 2022?

Nash PB-63. Changed the pickguard from the original tort to an aged white. Have DTF on it with Pyramids on the way (lost in the mail apparently)
Ocean Turquoise but looks LPB at times. Glows onstage! It’s a lifer. The relic chip above the E string does trigger the OCD in me, and I have thought about ordering a can of OT from Reranch to do a little touch up there! Otherwise, it just sings with incredible sustain. My P gas is gone. Actually my bass gas is gone with the Ric I also picked up this year (2022 4003s MG).

I think I only got one thing this year (traded a cab for it.) no amps, been living off my string stock pile… technically best by default, but it’s a great inexpensive bass- Yamaha TRBX174. I play it often:
I made no bass purchases in 2022. I’ll try to better next year. I’m not worthy.

I had been looking at these for a couple of years, but exchange rates etc kept putting it off waiting for it to somehow get more obtainable.
One day I was looking on Status home site and read that Rob had retired and there were to be no more
I began to frantically search the inter webs looking for my unobtainium, and there, like a shining beacon, one emerged.
This is now my # 1 player.

The SX Spector/Warwick copy shell I pulled off guitarfetish's factory buyout page. Less than $300 into the whole thing and has been my #1 all year while I wait for my Jazz Bass Special body to come back from the painter.

Plays well and has the exact P bass sound I was looking for. Looks great too. This guy has already become a workhorse for me, since I've played the majority of our shows this year with it.

One can only dream. In the mean time, a set of the stickers is cheap and it's pretty easy to lay them out correctly. I think black blocks would go well on that Stingray in your profile pic. Just sayin'...
