Because everything I have to say involves the rest of the band. Think Rocco Prestia; did he ever take a solo? I've never heard him play one, but my God, he's a fabulous bass player!

You are a lucky guy indeed sir,... I did get to see essentially the same band a year later with Alice Cooper""Welcome to my nightmare" tour. Great, great band.. But would have loved to been at that Lou Reed show.
I don't know if it's my favorite bass soloes. But here are two of them at least, by Bill Laswell on a Fender Bass VI, from the same show and one of my favorite YouTube concerts with Last Exit (the free jazz band, not the fusion jazz band):

No, I saw the " Nightmare" show right here at the Civic Auditorium in Bakersfield. The opening act was Susie Quattro. My entire NY experience was a stopover on a flight to Europe. I was in New York city for 4 hours, and I never set foot out of JFK!... Maybe someday.
