I can't believe I'm the first to add Willie Weeks to this for Everything is Everything. (8min mark)

I also like what Nathan East did on Old Love on 24 Nights. (also at the 8min mark)

  2. Christian McBride on Maceo Parker's Soul Power Live

    Around 2:40 mark

So glad someone mentioned Jon Camp. He does not get anywhere near the attention and respect he deserves.

My band is playing this tune at our next gig, and I've got to cop the solo at 3:36. I am s**tting my pants about it.

I'm not really into bass solos, not that there is anything wrong with them, but my favorite quasi-bass solo would be The Real Me by the Who.

This whole song is a bass solo (with a guitar and drum solo in he middle), IMHO and it's one of my favorites. Jack Bruce:

Percy Heath plays this on a "baby bass" (cello), but it's my favorite:

My favorite bass solo (and it isn't close) is Anthony Jackson with Steve Kahn on Turnaround. It's at the begining so you don't even have to wait for it!

This is not my favorite, but it's one I've been listening to a LOT lately, and have trouble getting it out of my head.
