warwicks got some nice bodies. that fna bass looks like the bass from heaven of something. its got a nice finish too. reminds me of a stingray or sterling because of the pickup. although when ever you see a the body of a stingray or sterling you know what it is and i think thats the best classic body. warlocks look cool too but i havent played a high end one only the crappy ones.

I'm not a conformist, but it's got to be the Jazz body. The Pedulla Rapture is nice and I always liked the Kubicki (sp) looks. The F bass is interesting in pictures, I'd like to see one live. oh, and john, where's that picture?

Does anyone have the bass book: a complete illustrated history of bass guitars? Well in it there are some bad ass basses: Burns Bison Bass(1962), Music Man Stingray(1979), Kubicki Ex-Factor(1990), and Warwick Thumb(1993) are beautiful. Oh I love my Stienberger Spirit XT-2 (don't beat me up).

i can't decide, should i go 7 string or 4 string?

(she doesn't usually dress this way (unfortunately :D) - we were going to a Lords of Acid concert, and i figured that would be a great time to get a picture. :D yeah, and blame me for the goofy poses - i thought i'd give you guys a treat :D )

what a woman, eh? and a cpa too. i've said it before, i hit the jackpot.

Yeah, this *is* a treat to say the least! Holy cow, John, if I thought you my hero before, you've now been elevated to demi-god status! She's GREAT! Hmm... didn't mean to sound like Tony the Tiger there!. :)

By the way, I used to have a white Rick back in my first playing days... not that anyone cares after photos like those! :D

Hey John. Forget bass playin, 4's and 7's and whatnot. You need to focus entirely on that woman you got there boy. If you dont then I'm gonna hunt you down and take over! Just kidding bro.

PS. on your 7 and 8 strings, do you have extra low strings, or extra high strings?

actually, i would, except she's also my band's acting manager. can you believe the luck? and she does 3 of the 4 guys in the band's tax returns. you should see her when she puts on her wonder woman outfit. :D

i have various configurations - my main 7 string config is b-E-A-D-G-b-e, where the caps are the "regular" 4 (one string lower and 2 higher), and 8 strings are tune f#-b-E-A-D-G-b-e, again with the capitals as the regular 4 (2 lower,2 higher), and i have one of my 7's tuned f#-b-E-A-D-G-c, and another sometimes tuned E-A-D-G-c-e-a. but the majority of my stuff is done on the first tuning, like a 7 string guitar but an octave lower.
