Hey Johnny boy, go 7 string. The more strings, the more options you have in playing. I can't go back to a 4 from my 5, I definately couldn't after a monster 8 like you gotz. laterzzz..

I'd go with the 7, John. Heaven knows there are plenty of us 4 and 5 players out there... and a growing number of 6ers too. What you have and can do is special; I don't know why you would want to join the lemmings with that much money, time and effort invested in mastering those beauties.
I will take photos of my basses, take up the rest of the roll of film, develop the roll, scan the photos and post them. [Yawn]. I sure wish I had a digital camera. For that matter, I wish I had a girl friend to model the basses for me!
I guess I'll have to rent one. (A camera, guys, a CAMERA!)

heck yeah, she was a little leery at first, but everybody's positive response
really made her feel good. and yeah, she is quite a sport - she'd have to be to be with me. I really like The Status Empathy, Energy and John Entwistle.

I'va always been partial to Jazzmasters. My new homemade bass is going to be a Jazzmaster bass. I like to call it a Bassmaster.

My all time fave is the (old) Le Fay Pangton shape - can't get it out of my mind since I first saw it almost 10 years ago - it's totally unique, crazy and yet totally organic and ergonomic...
I only found a bad pic of a new one which doesn't do it any justice (don't like the color either):
With that wide butt this bass is perfect for all those Jennifer Lopez fans....
And Reiner Dobbratz, the guy who builds these beauties, is one of the nicest fellows I've ever met...
