Favorite comfort foods?

Sriracha, man that's good on almost anything...

She can have some of my cock sauce (that's what we call Sriracha round these parts due to the rooster pictured on it).

NC Style Pulled Pork BBQ for me. Unfortunately no one around here can give me even a close facsimile to what I used to eat on the east coast,...so,....luckily I can source a great sauce online,...I just need to get a smoker and I'll start making it myself.

I have many comfort foods....

Prime rib, medium rare
Fresh raw salmon, preferably with Aloha Shoyu and decent wasabi
Buffalo wings, properly made and served with decent bleu cheese dip
Chicken paprikash with tarhonya
Jaegerschnitzel with spaetzle
Well-seasoned rotisserie chicken
Homemade chicken matzo ball soup
Thai sticky rice with mango
Hong Kong-style pan fried noodle

this is my favorite too, but I don't want no healthy broccoli with it.
give me C.F.S. with the mash and corn and cover the whole damn mess with white gravy and pepper and eat it all with a biscuit

That's almost exactly what we had for supper last night! CFS, home made mashed potatoes, garlic biscuits, all with white cream gravy. We did have broccoli and cheese though. Off to the fridge to look for leftovers!

I have to agree with Ziltoid on the grilled cheese and add on a bowl of piping hot tomato-basil soup.
My gf and I took a snow day last Friday. We made a pureed roasted red pepper and sundried tomato soup, and gruyere on thick cut multi grain bread with a Dijon/Parmesan spread grilled cheese sammiches. THAT was some comfort grub!

I'm off for snow again today. We haven't decided what we're makin' yet. :)

I think today I might make pepperoni rolls. Sliced pepperoni and mozzarella cheese, rolled up in small pieces of frozen pizza dough (they look like mini strombolis), brush with butter on top and bake at 350 F degrees for about 12 minutes or until slightly golden brown on top and baked through. They are mighty tasty.

Why frozen dough?
