I forgot, nighthawks at the diner - Tom Waits. Its part jazz, part play, its like a music story. you have to listen to the whole thing or you don't get the true feel of it.
You guys sure know how to pick them. I had a couple in mind and then started reading the recs. Wow! Anyhow, here's mine:

Pat Travers Band - Live - Go For What You Know

I played along with Pat and the other guitarist. It was very cool playing Getting Betta and a few other blues tunes at the same time with them via the interwebs.
A pity noone else heard the bass lines but me. hahahahahahahaha and maybe my neighbor I had it going on.

I had it going on.+1 Can listen to Familyman on this one forever. Best version of "Lively Up Yourself" too.
"Gratitude" - Earth, Wind & Fire. There are studio cuts in this album, too, but the live stuff is awesome!
That's definitely a good one. And +1 to Joe Jackson - a guy whose musical integrity (and musicianship) I have a great deal of respect for.
Gotta hand it to Nine Inch Nails' "and all that could have been". Say what you will about Trent Reznor, he always put together incredible backing bands. Danny Lohner just killed it on that performance. Amazing energy.
