I recently traded for my first SVT, a heritage CL. Way overdue since I've been playing for 26 years! I have been playing it with a franken-stack that actually sounds quite good (aguilar DB212 + fearless F115) to get a 4 ohm load, but I think Im going to double down on this SVT thing. I will likely end up with a 70s or new 810, but I would like something smaller and tighter sounding as well.

I have used 410he cabs on gigs and love them, but they are 8 ohm.

I have used a bergantino nv610 and thought it put too much of its own stamp on the sound, to the point that it didn't matter what head I used.

I listened to the 212av on youtube and it doesnt sound very good on there, which I know doesnt mean much.

Greenboy basic 15 in 4 ohms is tempting.

I wonder what it would sound like with a 4 ohm aguilar db410.

I have an aguilar S410 i could rewire to 2 ohms.

Throw me some comments and ideas!

The Berg NV412 sounds great in this set up. Different to the 610, not as tight nor middy, seems to go deeper and higher. I use one with my Fender Super Bassman which is similar to the VR imo. Apart from that, the Fender Pro Neo Bassman cabs are fantastic - the 610, 410 and 115 (which I have ). The 810 is another beauty but is huge.

I have run my SVT-CL in these cabs .... NV610, nice sealed punchy tone .... NV215, full, somewhat smooth, rich tone, HD410, interesting take on a so called modern tone/sound, and the Aguilar DB112 x2 again a nice interesting take on an updated on so called modern tone/sound ... my problem is ... I like them all

Two Ampeg Pf 115LF sound really good together. I have both the Hertiage 810e and the PF cabs. The 810e is a bit tighter, but the PF115s are surprisingly more bright and punchy. The 810e never leaves my attic music room, the PF cabs are so much more portable and come with me everywhere!

I used to own a DB410. Never tried an SVT with it, but it sounded great with my V-4B--a little more low end than the NV610, but still tight/punchy. I switched to the NV610 for improved portability (I'm tall, so the 410 was tough on my back). I like the two cabs equally from a tonal perspective.

I've always wanted to hear mine through a Dually. I've played mine through a bunch of 410's (HLF,HEN,SWR) & my two Ampeg 810's at two ohms and a SWR Megolioth. But I'd love to hear the Dually.

I run mine through a single 212AV and love it, would like to add a second one soon. I played a gig this weekend where the backline provided was a SVT-CL through a 410HLF, I was impressed and will be on the look out for one to pop around me used.
