This is the correct answer and my butt is sore from still kicking myself for missing out on a purple one.

Of the pedals I have, my favorite one-knob pedal is this:

It's not a pure boost, but it's not nearly an overdrive either. It just seems to fatten up the harmonics a bit. ALWAYS ON.


I also think that this thread is woefully incomplete without some mention of Cyclops Jesus fuzz (aka Black Arts Toneworks Ritual), even though I've only heard demos of it:

The Accountant has only the one knob, but its toggle switches are important to its operation, so I don't know if that counts.

The only one-knobber (with no other controls) that I use regularly is a Creation Audio Mk.4.23, 48V version. Cleanest, most literally/technically transparent clean boost I've ever encountered.
