Favorite Signature Models

Still in love with my Attitude Limited. Sick 80s look but it sounds like a thunderstorm and plays realy sweet.

In my opinion, one of the most under-rated and under-recognized bassists ever to play rock and blues was none other than Eric Clapton's former sideman Carl Radle.

Some folks believe Fender should produce a Carl Radle signature or tribute bass of some kind based on this very unique Precision Bass with Jazz neck that he played mopst often. If you haven't already, you can read up on this subject and see photos of this unique piece of rock and blues history details at this link:

I'll probably get flamed to hell for it but..........

I hear this thing is killer and it looks sick.

:hiding::hiding::hiding::hiding:

bump

I was apprehensive to list it as well! I've got one and I have to say Gene got it right on this, does indeed look, play, and sound killer. Although if I were given the opportunity to buy another for $1500, I'd probably just buy something comparable for $600 less. I was 16 and saved my money for a year or two to buy it, the thing is freakin' sweet.

Right now the top of my list is the Skjold Damian Erskine sig. Opinion on design only unfortunately.

Based on playing experience I have to nominate the Fender Roscoe Beck V. Can't explain why Fender stopped producing some of their best basses ever...

Bassplayer7770, as a huge MA fan, I'm dying to get one of those, but I'm not a fan of the green. Besides, I can't find one anywhere! I think he's got a newer model now. Can't find that one either. :hmm:

I'll just have to make do with this:

It's a Mexican Urge that I found last June, and just picked up this afternoon.

MMMMmmmm I've never really liked sig. models cause they normally are very distant cousins of production models just added pickups and hardware and what not. So I'm going with the one that I think still is the [sic]est Pro Model I've ever seen the Ibanez PBG1 the ATK of Slipknot's bassist Paul Grey.

Now I don't like it cause it has a Slipknot Logo on it no it has all the features I want in a bass. Black paint, rosewood fingerboard, maple neck and a simple layout.

It may not be very popular on here but, it's just my cup of tea. (Ironicly though I hate tea)

I don't mean to offend anyone, but I find the Jaco bass to be one of the dumbest instruments I've ever seen. How unimaginative would you have to be to want not just the same model as jaco's bass, not just the same color as jaco's, not just the same customized features that jaco used, but even the same wear as jaco's bass? That just reeks of a lack of individuality. Copying Jaco as much as you can won't make you Jaco. Nor should you be.
