I’m sitting at my desk misty eyed. I’ve seen this, and ever other episode, a million times but when the admiral talks about how Data’s hands were moving so fast he couldn’t see them trying to fix her.....gets me every time.

The Breen, huh? They were cool. Would’ve been nice for some more character development with them, though I suppose they were there to be mysterious. Their ruthlessness really took you by surprise. They were one of the few alien races that directly attacked earth.

Best of Both Worlds is not only the best TNG episode; it's one of TV's finest moments! That is some serious television right there!

Species 8472 is some kind of scary!, like the aliens from Independence Day.

Species 8472 is some kind of scary!, like the aliens from Independence Day.

I hated how they humanized them in that simulation they were running to prepare for invading the federation. 8472 was great because they were totally alien. They weren’t humanoid. They weren’t bipeds. They came from fluidic space for Pete’s sake. But they had to go and turn one into a sexy love interest for Chakotay. They couldn’t leave well enough alone.

There are four lights!

Captain Jellico was certainly a douchebag, but the truth is he was a cunning and effective leader. He was great. Absolutely an a-hole but no one can say he wasn’t good at his job.
