Favourite bass fuzz pedals?

Malekko B:Assmaster.

Why? Because it's the best bass fuzz box ever :bassist:

Viva Analog 360 Fuzz is another great and very unique dirt box.

Bronze medal goes to Katanasound Bass Super Fuzz.

But is the B:Assmaster in production? The line6 basspod have this pedal emulated, and it sound great. But as far as I know you can't buy a new one.

Malekko B:assmaster (standard silicon version) - buzzy, nasty, cuts through any mix. Has a great clean blend, which I know a lot of people value, but I often use it with the cleans all the way off.

Devi Ever Cherry Pop - no longer in production, but you may be able to get a similar sound with the War Horse - her Soda Meiser circuit with a tone control. A great, gnarly fuzz that can get more low end than you'd believe.

Devi Ever VFM - Great, synthy, disharmonic octave-up-y fuzz.

McSpunckle Gnomeratron VTF - an absolute beast of a pedal, capable of everything from muff-y to octave insanity. With switchable diodes, switchable octave, switchable tone profiles, a gate control, a gain control (and more) there are more options than you'd ever need, and yes there is a clean blend. The octave up is pretty unique, and has a really cool almost modulated thing going on. Plus, if you don't like so many options, you can get a more streamlined version in the Mini Gnome.

Danelectro French Toast - a clone of the Foxx Tone Machine. The thickest, nastiest thing ever. Yes, tons of low end. Also, switchable cutting octave. Probably not the best build quality, and no LED, but you can get these for as cheap as $35.

Mellowtone Wolf Computer - not often mentioned here, and there is some low-end loss, but good god can this thing go crazy. Everything from gritty OD to full-bore fuzz to crazy space invader 8-bit madness.

Mid-Fi Clari(not) - not just a fuzz pedal, this thing is some kind of crazy mutant slapback delay fuzz... the delay is waayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy crazy, though, and you can get all sorts of whacked out backwards-bagpipe-esque noises from it. Or, if you really want, you can dial the fuzz/delay blend all the way to fuzz and just have it be nasty & rude.

Annnnnnd while it's not the best bass fuzz pedal, I can never get rid of my ProCo Rat. There are just some toanz I just can't get anywhere else.

The only thing I know that can shadow the B:Assmaster is a Moog Taurus.....

My faves:
Sanford and Sonny Bluebeard for heavy aggressive doom... it sits great in a mix and just kills!!! how do i know? well, when I got one I kept having other bassists come up and ask "whats that pedal?"... now they ALL have one.

Musket. for more saturated textural/ambient fuzz.. i know its a great wall of fuzz cannon, but I like to dial it back.

My All time favorite.. the Fender Sublime... its a surprising AWESOME fuzz with loads of versatility!

honorable mentions: and these are VERY honorable to me.
Oxfuzz bass fuzz
grey stache
EHX Bass Big Muff... i know i know, its a standard and has alot of negatives, but sometimes it can be EXACTLY what the doctor ordered.

my favourite thats sticking is the tentacle love,... octave channel + muffish channel + clean blend in a smallish sized pedal, whats not to love!

hyperion comes after but needed to use an LS2 with it to rake it in,...

ended up doing the same with the supercollider (which was just too much real estate!)

the greatest sound I have made that isnt a million pedals all at once is ibanez PD7 + tentacle love + weeping demon,... cliff burton eat your heart out ;)

Copilot Orbit and XXL. I know the XXL is more of a distortion but lately I've fallen back in love with it. I have a Gnomeratron in the mail next week so I'm guessing/judging by the sound clips and vids that it will be my new favorite. It's funny when you ask what is your favorite and most people reply with three or four favorites. Too many nice fancy toys out there these days. :)

I managed to score an xxl bass for cheap on Amazon a few weeks ago....but I guess that was a mistake on their part since they just refunded me and cancelled my order. Oh well.

That sucks. It can get pretty hairy but it cleans up pretty well(almost overdrive sounding) if you run the drive at min and lighten up on your attack, which is what I've been using it for a lot lately. Hope you can find another.
