Favourite Lyric Line?

Oh yeah (yeah yeah..) I understand you, I like them too even if I don't live there but hey, The Beatles are everywhere :)

Haha, if there's anyway a business here can fit in a Beatles reference, they will. I mean there's a cafe down the road from me called Ate Days a Week... I even bought a day bus pass, called a Day Tripper. It's mental how obsessed they are here! I still love them though :)

I'm a puppet on a string, Tracy island
time travelling diamond coulda shaped
heartaches
That's come to find you,
4 in some velvet morning
years too late
She's a silver lining, lone ranger riding
Through an open space
In my mind when she's not right there beside me

Arctic Monkeys - R U Mine?
I have no idea what's going on there... But Alex Turner can sure make a few random words sound impressive.

I can imagine this very well! Rock & Roll is all about fun, simplicity and raw emotion after all. That's why it works everywhere and everytime IMHO, lyrics are not that important, rythm is, you know what I mean. Souvenirs and timelessness, etc. I'm sorry to pour me this evening (for me) but I want to say that I love my city. I live in Le Mans (France) and it is a pleasant city where there are beautiful cars, motorcycles and trucks races once a year and the entire (almost, ok) planet is found there from spring to summer. And full of pretty girls there of course, obviously :) Sorry for my bad english ^^

Edited a little cause of spelling, my bad, not content ;)

Best line ever by far IMO is from the Canadian band Goddo from the song Sweet Thang from the 1978 album Who Cares. Going into the 3rd verse which is identical to the first verse.... "Well... The third verse is the same as the First".

Funny stuff from a band that has songs including Cock On and Carol, Kiss my Whip.

Here is the ridiculous 3rd verse in its entirety...

Well the third verse is the same as the first...
A young girl sweet sixteen, a perfect picture for my warm wet dream.
Come on over for a rendezvous, a cuppa tea and then some leaves a few.
You like the fact that I’m in a band, you’re aware I’m a one night stand.
But uh, that don’t bother a girl like you, you get your cake and you eat it too.

Listen to it... Catchy as hell!

I'm a person just like you
But I've got better things to do
Than sit around and smoke dope
Cause I know I can cope
Laugh at the thought of eating ludes
Laugh at the thought of sniffing glue
Always gonna keep in touch
Never want to use a crutch

#2 ) Subdivisions by Rush (I love the whole song, but for space, highlighted the most relevant part to me)
Growing up it all seems so one-sided
Opinions all provided
The future pre-decided
Detached and subdivided
In the mass production zone
Nowhere is the dreamer or the misfit so alone

"What have they done to the earth?
What have they done to our fair sister?
Ravaged and plundered and ripped her and bit her
Stuck her with knives in the side of the dawn
And tied her with fences and dragged her down..."
When The Music's Over

Circle of hands, cold spirits' plan,
searching my land for an enemy.
Came across love's sweet cost
and in the face of beauty, evil was lost.
......
We must keep them away or pretty soon we'll pay
and count the cost in sorrow.
Sacrifice, the future has its price
and today is only yesterday's tomorrow.

Ken Hensley,...from Uriah Heep's album Demons and Wizards

"You win some, lose some, it's all the same to me"- Motörhead

"Crazy! Who you callin crazy? You wouldn't know crazy if Charles Manson was eating Froot Loops on your front porch! Before you take a walk in my world you better take a walk in the real world, because this ain't no mister Rogers neighborhood, and one more thing- f&@$ you!"-suicidal tendencies

"This life is more than just a read thru"- RHCP

"And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make"- Beatles
