Hey all,
So I emailed Francis with this question; he hasn't gotten back to me yet, so I figured I would put it to all of you!
"Hi Francis,
I've been hearing a lot about your preamp from various satisfied customers, and it has pretty much everything I need. The only thing is that I use a K&K Bass Master Pro system. The two piezo elements are wired into a single TRS plug, which goes to a proprietary "blending" preamp with a mono output. There's no phase reversal or high-pass filter, which is why I like your unit better. I'm wondering: could I use both? Put yours in line after the K&K preamp and get the phase and HPF benefits? Is there a downside to using two preamps? Does your unit actually actively boost the signal from the piezo, or just buffer it? Is there a way you can build a box that simply has a passive HPF/bass roll-off along with a phase inverter, that is not a preamp and is impedance-neutral?
Thanks for your time, hope to hear from you soon!
Phil"
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
Phil
