Thank you very much!!

Over the past few weeks of being home, there has been a lot of improvement and I feel like it will continue. I can now walk without a cane and I can now turn doorknobs with my paralyzed arm/hand! I am very lucky!!!

You are recovering nicely! Congratulations! That is cool. Took me a year to get rid of the cane after my spinal injury. And now you have the true ability to really appreciate the ability to walk and turn doorknobs. Its the simple things in life we really should appreciate.

Hi Frank, hope the recovery is going well. I realise you posted this before things took a turn for the worse, but I wondered how things are going and if there's any chance of seeing a new Photon in 2016?

The plan was for me to start a Photon Fuzz MK2 build cycle this month along with the compressor builds. But now they will have to be built after this compressor build. So the Photon is the next cycle, but it will be a few months delayed.

Great news! I've been on the waiting list since April '14 and had kinda forgotten about it until I happened to see this again the other day!

Bringing this thread back to the top to show some appreciation for FEA :) I've used my DBCL in the studio last month, and the audio engineer liked it a lot ! He was stocked to find so many options in such a small format. I let him adjust it while I was playing, and he ended up with a setting that we both liked (moderate ratio, high threshold, nothing too fancy but it does its magic). As it was quite transparent and still retaining the dynamics at that setting, we kept it active during the whole session. Hopefully this does not mean my playing was sloppy :whistle:

I've got a question : can I power my DBCL with 12V ? I'd like it to share a power outlet with another pedal that takes 12V.

Here's the response I received from Glen regarding using the DECL at a higher voltage, which has the same internal power circuitry -

"It will “tolerate” the 18V DC supply (negative center pin), but there are some considerations. First, the internal power supply is clamped (limited) to 10V DC on the power input, which is then doubled (internally) to 20V. The typical 9V DC supply will give the pedal 18V headroom, which under normal conditions is plenty. A 12V DC supply will be limited to 10V DC (internally) giving the pedal 20V headroom. An 18V DC supply will only cause the power limiter (clamp) to work harder to regulate and will not provide any additional benefit of headroom over the 12V DC supply. We recommend using a 9V DC power supply, or 12V DC if you need that little bit of extra headroom."

Thanks for asking! There are good days, but since my brain is rewiring the pathways between my brain and body, I have discovered new sensations that I can only categorize as real bad days.

I am just happy to be alive!! And I am confident that I will have a successful recovery, it just takes a lot of time.

Ryan and Pat have been working with me for a few years now, so they have easily picked up any production slack that I have created. Really, as of right now, the only thing that FEA is suffering from is the longer time period that it will take to release new designs. I was hoping to have the Photon Fuzz MK2 and another new pedal out by this summer, but I will be happy to just get the Photon released.

Have you heard that our quality is suffering from somewhere?
