Frank wanted me to post in the thread and provide some information as to possible delays in production, and why you might have emailed him recently and not received a response.

A month ago, Frank suffered a massive stroke and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. After the initial critical period in ICU, there were some complications caused by a blood clot in his lungs. Because of the stroke, he lost functionality of the rights side of his body (arm, leg, face, etc.) and is undergoing physical therapy to regain as much mobility as possible. So far, the therapy has been very successful and things are going better than expected, but it's still a long road ahead and it's uncertain just how much of his right limbs will be restored. He is scheduled to be released from the hospital tomorrow (Friday) and he will continue therapy at home.

I haven't posted anything about this on the web site as of yet, but I will try to get a news posting on the front page this weekend. If you've emailed Frank about anything in the past month, and you can't wait a while longer for the answer, please email me at glen(at)fealabs(dot)com.

Oh man. Sounds like almost exactly the same thing that happened to my Ph.D. advisor late during my time in grad school. He definitely improved over time with therapy but never regained full functionality of his right side, and his speech also took a huge hit. I really hope Frank is able to do better than that, and we wish him the best in any case.

I am sorry to hear Frank is ill. I really like the guy. He always demonstrated honesty, integrity, enthusiasm and a willingness to help. He is great asset to talkbass. I will miss him while he is recovering.

Really sorry to hear! Hope his spirits are ok and that recovery will continue to be as successful as possible.

I received my DB-CL earlier this year and am enjoying it immensely!

I really hope Frank is able to do better than that, and we wish him the best in any case.

His speech is recovering very nicely and use of his leg seems to be recovering as well, so he should be able to get around with minimal assistance (maybe a cane). His arm and hand are going to be the longest recoveries, but we have hope as he has shown positive response to the therapy for those as well.

Oh man, I really hope he gets better soon! And not to get too soon back to work. Bass sounds can wait, Its more important for him to get better and rest.

Thanks! If we *can* get him to rest and not think up new compressor ideas during therapy, that will be a feat in itself.

Love and light are on their way and here's to a speedy recovery. Lost my dad to a stroke many decades ago, and have two good friends who are also stroke victims. Fortunately for them, they both recovered well.

Doing things that one loves, might actually be a form of therapy.But... I know I am speaking for myself here, but tell him not to worry about us clients at the moment. Not to stress about orders and so on. Just to take it easy.

So sorry to hear about this, best wishes to Frank and hope he heals up as quickly and as much as possible. Signs of early improvement like that are often really positive, I hope it continues that way for him.

Frank is in my prayers. I hope that he makes a full recovery. IMO, he's one of the best contributors to these forums and a great guy as well.
