FEA fan club!

Love your compression pedal. I'm definitely a fan. I just wish I was more technically savvy. My ear knows what I want, getting the knobs twisted just right is a challenge. I find that I really like the tone when I have a high ratio, attack, and long release, but there's quite the color. Pretty color, mind.

I bought it for bass, since that's my bag, but I really really really love how it makes my Telecaster sound. My guitar player wants one now and I told him about the wait and he's trying to trade me something else for mine and I don't want to give it up. It's been making things awkward. But not really. I love playing with people who are as nerdy about tone as I am.

I'm new and I'm not privy to what ails you, but I wish you a speedy recovery.

Ryan and Pat have been working with me for a few years now, so they have easily picked up any production slack that I have created. Really, as of right now, the only thing that FEA is suffering from is the longer time period that it will take to release new designs. I was hoping to have the Photon Fuzz MK2 and another new pedal out by this summer, but I will be happy to just get the Photon released.

Have you heard that our quality is suffering from somewhere?

My DE-CL just got sorted in the NY sorting facility, (after spending 8 days there!) When it gets here I can do a quality check and report how well Ryan and Pat are keeping up. :) I am fully expecting a top quality product, since thats all I've heard about FEA labs.

Man I just had my third gig with the FEA Growler and it has continued to totally blow me away.

I have it set up as 1 nearly-always-on channel and then one boost channel. The boost channel is a dirty and bright boost. Literally everything i put through the Growler seems to sound better, clearer, more direct that without it. When I turn it off, it feels like a blanket is dropped over my whole rig.

I really hope FEA is going to consider making another bass preamp. This one is a shaging revelation.

Hopefully your package will arrive soon. USPS tracking for international packages (to our boarders) was fairly good a while ago. Then they were really awful with status updates for a period last year and recently.

I hope the DE-CL meets your expatiations!

Frank _ seriously - you gotta make another bass preamp. I freaking love the growler. The only thing I would maybe change would be a dry signal control per channel. That would allow for channel 2 to be used as a clean-to-dirty-to-bright boost.

shaging love it though. Please please please tell us that you have plans for another preamp.

Thanks for the Growler feedback and suggestions! :)

I have been thinking that the new FEA overdrive could be used as an always on type of preamp. It would be very different from the Growler, but I think it would fill that preamp roll for many players.

@buglen and @boomertech I can get on the waiting list for that, right? :) Pretty please :)

I can't wait brother!

I know you said the Growler was weird for people to figure out but man it has become absolutely essential in my live rig. Ok, it's only been 3 gigs but literally everything seems to sound better through it.

Until we actually have a product release, there is no waiting list on which to be added. Never fear though... When a new product is released, it's usually available from the web site at least for a couple of months (historically speaking). :)

Can I join a program where I am added onto every new product waiting list? Seriously, you can verify my pedal buying habits :)

If I ever start such a program, then yes, you can absolutely join! :D

Actually, having a mailing list subscription for new product releases might not be a bad idea, but I'll have to look into the options for automated systems on that front. I handle the notifications manually, but that wouldn't be efficient for new product release announcements if there were a large number of emails to send out. I'll check it out to see what options are available.

That sounds like a plan. I eagerly await the paypal invoices :)

Hold up a minute. A FEA Overdrive? Holy smokes when might that become available? I thought I'd be content with a Photon Fuzz, but now.....:hyper:

The new OD will most likely come out next year. I think that I have finally settled on the features for it.;)

Just FYI, the tracking worked just fine. It tracked the package from US, trough Amsterdam to Finland. I just did customs clearing, and it shows in Posti tracking system at the moment(our version of usps). So the 8 days in that sorting facility was not a tracking error. They just fondled the comp there for eight days thats all. :) Should be here within a week or so. :hyper:

I just got my DE-CL . I own/owned a few nice pedal comps (Cali76-G-P, Diamond BCP1, Retrospec Squeezebox, EBS Multicomp, Fairfield, Tech 21 Boost Comp). The DE-CL is hands down my favorite of the bunch. Love it.
It's the comp pedal I've been wanting for years without realizing what I most want/enjoy from a comp pedal. FEA just knew the right things to put into one pedal so perfectly. Quit reading my mind you sorcerers. Very smart design and a wonderful balance of tone enhancing and transparency depending how you set it. LOVE the Warmth knob. Subtle but very pleasing.

It was sent to me with every knob set to noon. I didn't even move a knob, just plugged it in and turned it on and instant great sound.
Took me about 30 seconds to tweak a few knobs to make it even better. Very user friendly and musical comp.

I want more FEA comps. Man, I'm not one to get excited by a compressor normally but the DE-CL is such a tone sweetener, I'm so pleased with it. Some much more expensive comps I own will be going on the selling block. Thank you FEA!
