I didn't want to shell out for duratex and got some speaker carpet instead, I'm pretty happy with it. I didn't have too much trouble installing it and it fits around all the little corners easily. Works well with the blue baffle too I think..

I'm just waiting on the 18 sound and the crossover and I can finish this build.. oh well a speaker grill too but I haven't started worrying about that, i don't know if I want to try that in blue too or black..

I only had two choices of blue spray paint at the local hardware store but I really like that color anyway. (some form of navy blue)

I was thinking too of just doing one side blue, then if I don't like it I can just reverse it, provided I can spray paint one side of the grill without it running on the other.

Definitely going for something that looks good but doesn't look like a cab I bought at the local music store. I also have brass screws holding those corners on, I couldn't find black ones but I kinda like it now, I was thinking of painting the screws blue but I did that for a couple others and its a pain.

Hi Guys;
Well I have my speakers and xovers,.....but now I find I don't really know how to wire them up. Doing a 15/6 and have the pre-built xovers from Leland. Hoping one of you experienced guys can help me out? This is the place for great help on these cabs! Thanx again,......

I finally had time to put the spacer in my mid chamber for the 18sound driver. I forgot to do that on the original build. Between that and a little more batting it totally smoothed out the top end harshness I was having. I haven't had time to shake the walls yet but the cab sounds sooooo much better.

Mid chamber is to be altered if you use a 18Sound driver in a 12/6 - you add inert spacers to reduce the chamber volume - see plans here:

This is not an issue with the 15/6 if you follow spec as you should be using the 6ND410 anyway - at least that's how I read it...

Just with the 12/6. I worked on mine at different times over the Christmas holidays and somehow missed putting it in. I realized it at a later date and put the spacer in when I repainted the cab. Big difference.

Depends on if you want a crossover or not.

IMHO, for most people, the 800RB with the built in crossover would be a great way to save a good bit of time and money and get a really cool flexible sound. I know Foz has tried that.
