I orderd the JBL horn about threee weeks back.
I did tell them I wasn't in a big hurry, so cheap shipping would be fine.
Even so, it seems like a long time to wait.
Anyone got experience with just how long they take?
Bill,

I ordered one 3 weeks ago also. I just spoke with JBL and they said they are still waiting for the part to be moved from the manufacturing plant to the warehouse. The lady said she is not sure why it is taking so long; usually it takes a few days to a week for the transfer. I specifically asked if they are waiting for another production run and she said no. The parts exist, they just need to be moved to the right place before they can be shipped out to the customers. I think we may be the only two with orders placed since she originally thought I was you when I called.

I was in limbo with JBL for over a month, and I was told a very similar story. Which is why I ultimately switched to the Dayton wave guide.

I guess someone should close out this discussion once and for all. Starting a new forum is like starting a new church.

P.S. Beware when a good thing gets a TM mark on every occurrence of the word.

I'm not sure why you think Greenboy having his own dedicated forum to support his designs would suggest that the discussion should stop here.

Or why because Greenboy wants to retain some modicum of control over the designs he’s spent so much time, effort and energy to produce refine, it suggests the end of anything. The plans are still readily available to the DIY builder, which is a hell of a lot more open and giving than pretty much any designer. He’s now ‘authorized’ builders who have agreed to produce either DIY kits or finished products that are within specific tolerances to the original designs. From the very dawning of the plans they were plainly and clearly marked as to personal use and/or commercial reproduction.

I couldn't agree more.

I was kind of freaked out that my 15/6 wasnt going to fit into my 97 honda civic 4 door. So I made a cardboard mock-up of it. This cab is not small... probably the biggest I've ever owned. However, the dimensions are very well thought out and I could definitely get the cardboard mock-up of the cab in the front passenger seat and the backseat (even though I have my son's car seat in there too).

Anyway, just thought I'd share that for you small car owners.
