Living in a Green state reputedly works pretty well too.

I spent the weekend in the "Green Mountain State". Does that count? It didn't appear that green though, given the time of year.

So, what's the verdict on your amp/cab combo? I have been thinking of trying a minimega with my 12/6/1 I built last fall.

I just finished reading this whole thread as a cab something akin to a 210-6 build is in the offing for me soon with assistance from a friend.
I have little to add to this thread but to say thanks for the tips. But also!
Top tip re: gasket material. A good place to get industrial double stick foam tape is from your local glass company. I was in the window and door and glass industry and have found local shops quite willing to sell their foam "Glazing tape" which is what you want to ask for. I have found they will even give you a small amount for free. Or a few feet for a minimal amount. It comes in different widths and thicknesses. If they want to sell you a whole roll ask if they have a half roll cheap, wink, wink.

I like the MiniMega...I haven't gigged one, but I have a friend here who had one for a bit and used it with a 12/6/1 and I thought it sounded really nice. It didn't compare to a big power poweramp, but definitely had more going on than most regular integrated heads.

Thanks. I only have a fender rumble 200 head the moment which does well enough for practice, but don't think much of it's overdrive tone - almost a fuzz to me.... Did you get to play with the crunch on the minimega? Any thoughts if so?

I dialed in a little just to hear it, but not enough to give you any true insight. Not really my thing. The guy who owned it was using it to bring a little breakup to be similar to what you'd get with some tubes being driven in your signal chain. Overall it's a pretty warm and smooth sounding unit.
