You can break them in with test tones and fancy geehaws.




Or you can just play the crap out of it.

Oh man Im glad there is no controversy over whether to break these in or not. I looked up "how to break in speakers" here and I wasn't expecting a sort of Spanish Inquisition...

I've done both, break in with test tone, and not breaking in at all.

Personally, I think its more psychological. But I did put two similar (read: same) cabs next to each other (BFM), one broken in and one not. Seemed the broken in one was like a broken in instrument, if you subscribe to that. Instruments, I definitely do, and incorporate theories during building, but that's another thread, for another forum.

At this point, its built, play the heck out of it!

I'm in the camp of not dispelling the possibility with materials used in some drivers. We can keep the lid on that can .

Ok so both cabs buzz. Hmm. I am wondering if I should gasket the mid and sub with the foam tape someone recommended earlier?

Clinched the drivers down like a tire right?

Eminence have sufficient rear gaskets to seal properly.

You need to check everything inside to see if it vibrates. This includes crossovers, wiring, damping, and bracing.

If you didn't get glue between the baffle and the braces behind it they'll make noise. Others have missed this before.

I have it on a gym mat now sounds good I'll look tomorrow again to see if they still make buzzing noise. Thanks!
