fEARful 1212/6, first build!!

It would definitely be a little cheaper, and where my skill level is right now it would certainly take longer(a dormant skill for close to 15 years), but yeah, I had way too much fun, the wife was pissed a few times, I neglected sleep, hygiene, eating a few times.....im think next time I want to take on the "66":)

Which is why you build 2x 15/6 tube (with mirrored baffles) since you're racking your amp anyway, and now you're modular. You gotta buy 2 sheets of 5x5 ply anyway, and another gallon of Duratex. . .

Although, the 66 is an impressive beast. Then again, so is your 1212!

I might go that route too, I know that when I packed it I my car yesterday to get it routed it fit in the backseat better than my 2 hartke cabs, so who knows, I will do this again sometime...

Ha ha! As GPX1200 said, its an addiction. Some call it a sickness. All the same.

Sorry to say my friend, and you can deny all you want (which you haven't, yet), you have the sickness, bad. I've seen a few "one and done". That was me. Hah! Between BFM and Dave Green, my wife has had it. Your's will too.

Imagine when I told her "my friend asked me to build them a cab." Did that 3 times. Not going there anymore. Its the current one (I started last year), your crossovers, and that's it for cabs.

Until I get the ply and order parts to change my 12/6 to a 12/6/1 cube with the T3W crossover, all black, and Reliable Hardware metal grill.

Oh I wont deny it:).... Just did the bottom with Duratex, almost out but Im gonna let this dry for the rest of the day, flip it back over and use up the rest, then through process of elimination I'm gonna try to figure out which screws go to the handles, jack plate, etc, as they are not labeled, I might/might not need help with this as they are all in separate mini plastic bags...

Bottom felt dry after about 3-4 hours so I flipped it back (the bottom has 4 coats on, plus I'm not too worried if it flattens out a little)and used up the rest, I'm going for for the "cab made of duratex look"!!

Anyone who's built a fEARful could easily detect most of my mistakes, its far from perfect, but I love it!!

Even though the Duratex isn't 100% cured, it is dry enough to handle but soft enough that I took advantage of the resilience it has right now to put some of the hardware on for a tight seal, now I just have to play the waiting game for the drivers and crossover parts, hopefully this week!!

That crossover board is a mess! At least it works.

That dual woofer tone is decidedly MORE than a 12/6, in a very good way. And I'm not talking about just being loud. Hard to describe - Full? Big?

I think you'll move some air with that thing that you carried around, literally.

Looks great to me, a million times better than I could've done.... As far as I'm concerned you did the most difficult part, I just put the box together (which I really enjoyed BTW)

I'm done, this cab is now ready for gigging with the speaker grille's in place!!

If you look close, the grilles aren't 100% straight, but I just eyeballed it and at this point I just wanna play it, so it really doesn't bug me as they are tight, I made little spacers from leftover wood that are painted black underneath the grille clamps, I'm happy for now, though I might go back and fix or change a few things down the road...
