fEARful part 13: the bad luck's done, son

Yeah, the super 600 is killer, that's what I use for my Uber 410, and when I finish my 15/6/1, I'll use it for that. It could easily handle a 1515/66 I'm sure.
The 66 typical hardware finish includes built-in tilt-back wheels and handles. No cart required.
+1, that is the main reason people go this route. Also a nice feature with the 15/15/6/6 is that it is actually shorter than two 15/6s stacked together. If you need the power of two 15/6s ALL the time than I would pick the 15/15/6/6
However, the flexibility of two 15/6s weighs out the easier portability of the 15/15/6/6. I plan on leaving one 15/6 at our practice space and the other 15/6 at my home when both are not needed.
I just finished the polarity swap for my mid range drivers and am pleased to say the cabs still sound fantastic.
I spent a little time trying to A/B the two after having done the first cab only, but couldn't hear anything different enough in a couple flips between them to really even notice.

Swapped mine recently too. It's pretty subtle but I was definitely able to notice a difference. It's slightly more present in the mids, a little more even. Probably not noticed in a band setting, but I have yet to try it outside of my living room.
I thought the difference was supposed to be in the off-axis response? So maybe you get less midrange beaming now rather than just sounding different everywhere in the room.
That's very well possible. My critical listening ear is not so finely tuned. It does sound subtly different to me though.
I just received my new 1212/6/1 built by Ron Anchak. This is a positively amazing cabinet. It's beautifully built, looks sexy as hell, and is loud beyond all reason!
I've been swamped at work, and I'm playing a musical (four shows each weekend) so I haven't had much time to play it, but so far, it appears to be a killer cab!
I also just received a Thunderfunk TFB800-B2, which I ordered specifically for this cabinet. After hearing the cab, I think the TF will be a superb fit.
I'll post pics and a review in the next week or so. Ron's work is amazing and deserves more exposure! (And of course, Greenboy's designs are equally amazing!)

Good to know. I've been debating going through him, since I'm in CA, or AoN, for super weight savings.

How long did your build take?
Ron is building me two 15/6/1s and I had placed my order back in mid October. I am getting really excited after reading all of his reviews and can't wait!
It sounds like I ordered my cab just before you ordered yours! It took Ron a couple of months to get the cabinet done, but I asked for some extras (i.e. routed handles, metal kickplate, etc.), and I told him I wasn't in a hurry for the cabinet.
When you get your cabinets, I'm sure you'll feel that the wait was worth it. I don't think anyone is making a better cabinet than Ron. His attention to detail is really impressive. And the packing that he did to ship the cabinet was AMAZING. Easily the best packing job for ANY product I've ever bought!

Mine came all the way across the country. I'm convinced the packaging could have stopped a bullet. Masonite on four sides. 3-4" of cut foam boards all around. Really impressive.
I know Ron said the packing adds 30 pounds to the ship weight! I live in PA and have no worries with it coming across country.

No concerns whatsoever with Anchak. My 1212/6 is built like a tank, beautiful, and sounds glorious. It was expensive, but worth every penny.

Got my 6NM410 yesterday, have my father-in-law building the cabinet, and I get all the hardware, electronics and Duratex as Christmas presents! All in all, I'll have about $400 of my own money in the entire project! Not too shabby!
