fEARLESS F210

I've only been able to do a little testing on this beast, but so far, so good...how are you liking yours? I think you may have gotten the very first one made?

What comparisons can you mention, esp. between the F110 and F210? Obviously the F210 can get louder. Curious about the tonal differences, perceived girth, etc. Thanks.

Crap, I love the look of that cab. Man.....I got too many cabs already :help:

Same here - on both counts. That's the way I like 'em too: tall & slender.

I will say this is far from a typical 210 cab...has the mid driver...safely handles 900-1,000 watts. I'd put it up against pretty much any 410 :)

Wow! This stuff just keeps getting better & better & better...

It's kind of the difference between any single woofer and dual woofer greenboy cab, honestly...just 'more.' I've always felt a difference in the two woofer cabs in that they sound more 'enveloping' and less 'linear' than a single woofer cab...You'll sense more 'girth' for sure, lots more volume potential, etc. The F110 and F210 would be a great choice for folks who find greenboy cabs to be too deep in the lows...they're still greenboy cabs for sure, but the lows are slight attenuated compared to the 12" or 15" based cabs. The could be wonderful news to some upright players because the clarity and evenness of tone really shines with these two models :) The mid voice switch is just fantastic as well! I find it very useful, at least :)

Thank you for your impressions. I had a 12/6 and 15/6 made by LDS, so they weren't exactly made to Greenboy's specs but in the same neighborhood. Both cabs definitely had a "bigger" feeling of low, sometimes a bit too much so. I'm finding the F110 is exactly in the right pocket for my tonal taste. Interestingly, I also have 3 Crazy8s and used to have a Crazy88. The 88 (or two Crazy8s) clearly do the enveloping thing you mention in a VERY good way. I've always been a big fan of using two identical drivers so the F210 sounds like a great concept. I'm loving my F110 so the F210 must sound fantastic. I'm especially pleased with the combination of my F110 and Rob Allen fretless Deep 4 / tapewounds. The acoustic sound is so ... present! So much cool gear is available these days! What a terrific time to be a bass player!

P.S. You're spot on regarding that mid attenuator switch. You get two different cab voicings with the flip of a switch. I like being able in my home studio to have the attenuator on with less vivid mids (too in your face for my taste), but on the gig you can flip it and immediately boost bass presence in the mix with a very musical effect. That switch might be the signature improvement in the Fearless line along with the more controlled lows.

The Art Deco style metal grill is kind of a unique touch... :hmm:

I have the same grills on my F112 and F115. (See http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f15/ncd-fearless-f112-f115-985246/) They have become the unofficial signature grill of the greenboy line IMO. These are very high quality, high end cabs. The authorized builders go a long way to giving them a unique and personal touch. It shows up in these types of details.

Thanks! Those are full custom, one of a kind grills...so far we had some made for the F110, F112, F210, F115 and Dually. The F215 grills should be coming soon and hopefully the Bassic cabs as well, soon :)

I LOVE the way your cabs came out! Don Barry is fantastic! The stack you have is my preferred stack for the bigger shows as well :)
