I think JGR has a really good clip on YouTube somewhere. If memory serves, he was testing one of his new pres while going back and forth between an F215 and a Berg NV215. There was no attempt to declare a 'winner' as JGR is building his own cabs. It was more a demonstration of his pre amp , though does show the difference in design goals between the two cabs

I have a hard time seeing why that is a problem

I thought it was a good video. People could come up with their own conclusions. There are obviously big differences in every area between the two cabs. I liked the tone of the GK. I also liked the tone of the F cab. But they are very different. That is what makes the world go around.

I don't own either cab. But based on the video, if I had enough coin I would buy a couple of each...

It amazes me how much FF builder/fans get away with on TB - like your attempt to insult to me here in an effort to try and run me off, while everyone else would be ban. I can't get away with what you do, and I don't want to be ban from TB, so I'll just leave this anti G-K and FF builder/fan congested thread. BTW: I think the G-K blew away that FF, and the G-K didn't fart out ether, even when he tried to make it fart without blowing it out, plus that F112 would most likely be lost within a loud band mix where the G-K would shine. Hopefully I won't be ban for posting this within this FF controlled thread. Anyway, have a good week son.

Man, what is it about peoples gear that get's them so fired up?
Joe- CL400Peavey is always the first or second poster in every single thread about cabs- always tries to direct them towards a dually, or another GB cab. He's obviously VERY passionate about the cabs he thinks are great. Don't let it get to you- just skip his posts- easy thing to do. From the outside he looks fanatical- once you're here long enough you know exactly what he'll post in every thread and just smile a little. Don't let it get under your skin so much man....

With regards to the video- I didn't take it as a video "trying" to make GK look one way and the Fearless look another- it looked like some guys playing away and showing the differences that they perceived. Just because they all felt the GK was inferior doesn't mean that your favorite brand sucks, and it doesn't mean they're insulting you or GK. I found the video to clearly demonstrate that the GK sounded a bit "murky" or "muffled" in relation to the Fearless, at those settings with that bass. I play with much less string and fret noise so I have to block that clank out of my mind when listening to the rigs, but I found the demo honest, concise, and fair. Just playing two cabs hard, and showing how they sound.

Again- this coming from someone who has never played or heard any GB cabs, but has gigged a TON on GK gear.

If you're confident in and happy with your gear choices, there is absolutely no need to get all miffed when some random stranger on the internet likes some other brand better than yours, nor is there a reason to cry "foul!" at the perceived questionable ethics behind a YouTube demo.

I currently use a Genz Benz/Greenboy rig and am quite happy with it. I used to use Ampeg and before that GK, and I was happy with those, too.

The above statements + $.79 will get me a cup of coffee at the corner gas station.

That's a great deal on coffee. Ours is a buck 20. But by the time I drive to Ohio, the savings is somewhat diminished...
