I'd also guess whoever put this in the production queue at the Custom Shop was on mushrooms.

As an aside, if the bass for you is a Fender Custom Shop, that's cool, I got no problem with that, they are boss. However, I will always smile when I see an $8k bass with a maple board and bolt on neck, when those were innovations Leo made in order to mass produce instruments as cheaply as possible.
