Yes, as I explained in my post, I'm aware that they're supposed to be staggered, but the pole pieces on mine stick out ridiculously far. I have the A string side much lower than the E side and the A buries the E volume-wise.
As far as the cap goes, it doesn't matter what the value is when it's wide open. The cap value is irrelevant when your tone is all the way up. I'll roll the tone off a little bit when appropriate, but I need some bottom end without it and it's not really there.
The bass came with a .1, but I'm so used to having a .047 that I found the .1 unwieldy. I had to swap out the electronics anyway because of a bad pot, so I put a .047 in there.
Then I guess we both told each other something we already know.
