Fender American Design Experience

Looking at Fender's website, I don't believe you can.

It looks like the candy apple red American special only comes with a maple fingerboard and it has a different bridge on it.

If you went with an American Standard, you could get the rosewood fingerboard and the same bridge like the one in your pic, but you couldn't get a candy apple red body or that same headstock.

Not unless he's talking about the Nate Mendel Signature. The only difference is that it has a BadAss bridge, but if you don't like it it's easily remedied.

Well, other differences would be that the NM has a relic job, is made in Mexico, and comes with a gig bag instead of a hardshell case.

But yes... it's certainly an option if the CAR/rosewood combo is your thang.

No matching headstock option yet?
I wouldn't ever count on that being an option with the ADE... headstocks and bodies have to be sprayed at the same time so colors match, and from what I gather it wouldn't be practical or cost effective for this particular program.

Matching headstocks are available in the Custom Shop, however... if you want one really bad, you can always go that route.

I've been following this thread from the beginning. The FADE is not supported on my I Phone nor is it supported by the outdated browser in my office. Amazingly enough I rarely use my home computer to browse the web and have never actually seen the FADE.

None the less I have enjoyed the experience of watching you all enjoy the experience. You lefties sure are cleaning up!

no P-90 option for the tele's, no natural finish option at all, no reverse P pup option, no options that I cannot find on any standard Fenders. What's the point of this thing again? To build your own stock Fender? hmmm...
Can you buy a CAR precision with an ash body, Jazz neck that has blocks and binding, a high mass Badass II clone bridge, 58 pickups, and a gold anodized pickguard as a standard, stock off-the-shelf Fender?

Didn't think so.

For anyone who is interested, I did a sound comparison between the '58 pickups that came on my p-bass to the "Custom Shop '62 Precision" pickups that they were kind enough to send me as a replacement and here are the results...

There is no added EQ, compression or anything else... it's a straight signal into my Fast Track Ultra and into my computer.

Volume and tone were on "10" and the bass had Fender flats on it... 45, 60, 80, 100. Fantastic flats!! Highly recommended.

I am WAY happier with the CS '62 pickups... they sound absolutely friggin' amazing.
