Fender Bassman 100T - chapter 2

Yeah, totally agree. I am playing pretty far from flat on the vintage channel. I'm going solely by ear on both channels. Bass, mid, and treble have been in the 5-7 range.

So glad I bought the 410 NEO.. Got to play some on it last night in the bedroom and it sounds great. Gig tomorrow night with it.

Gigged last night with a drummer I haven't played with in a while. Guess it was my first with him and the 100T. After the third or fourth song of the first set, he looks at me with wide eyes and says, "Geez that amp sounds good! ROUND!"

Another moment that confirms it was worth every penny.

(Have a gig Sunday evening two hours away at the North Carolina coast. The 100T and 400 Neo on a pier over the ocean. Will shoot pix and video.)

The EQ on the 100t is a lot more subtle than the alembic f1-x circuit. So 1-10-1 and 2-9-2 are very similar. Even 5-5-5 is not massively mid scooped like it is on the alembic. Great sounding amp, i miss mine.

Pics of that would be cool!

Playing first gig with the 100T and 410 NEO. Midsize room, 75-100 people. :)

Playing festival today with backline SVT/ 810. That's all I know. What Can I expect to be the differences from my 100T. Any tips will help being I have not played through an SVT before. I'll be using my G&L 1K, so hot pick ups. Thanks and have a great weekend everyone.

Assuming this is a CL, not a vintage rig.
Start at 12:00 on all your tone controls. The shape your tone accordingly. These are amazing rigs and really not that hard to set up tone wise, but a little bit goes a long way. As for dialing in dirt, adjust your master and gain according to your taste.if the pickups are really hot, you may want to use the 2nd input, unless you want to overdrive the preamp for some knarly dirt, but you do compromise on headroom by doing that.

Thanks rod, I'm sure a compromise on headroom with that amp will still be as much or more than the 100T. I'll probably go for as much clean headroom as possible as the G&L pups are quite knarly (as you put it) on their own plus I use an RC booster which gives me just a little dirt as I like it.
I use the 2nd input on the 100T also with this set up.

Hope you had a great gig man!

I love my 100t, but there is nothing like an SVT/810. I haul that beast around because of that. It is my motivation to keep in shape.

Video and pix from my gig in Carolina Beach, NC, last night. Hurricane Fran in 1995 blew half this pier away. Someone had the amazingly inspired idea of putting a bar on the remainder. What a cool gig.

Yesterday we had our summer Minnesota GTG. We had a great turn out with a lot of nice gear to check out. My 100T was a hit. Guy's were lined up to try it. I got to hear it with a lot of different basses and cabs, along with some great players. I really enjoyed standing back and hearing it get pushed hard. A lot of guys were surprised that it wasn't as heavy as they thought it would be.
