Fender Bassman 500 Head

I've got two of the 115 Bassman Pro Neo 115 cabs. Fantastic things.
Here's what yours would look like with 2 x 115s ( the Rumble 115 wouldn't look much different)

That's a Super Bassman up on top on the pic. ..but would look the same as the 500

I'd LOVE to have that rig over all others. All day & night. All the time.
Yeah. ..it's my fave of ALL TIME. And I've been playing (mainly all tube) all sorts of amps since the mid 70s.
The ONLY amp that comes close is the AMPEG SVT-VR or early 70s SVTs.
But. ....here in Australia. ..when I bought it. ..the VR was over $1000 more than the Fender Super Bassman. Plus it's 20+lbs heavier and doesn't have the vintage/overdrive channel options..... so after TomB on here, recommended I try the Super Bassman I jumped at it. He's tried/owns a buttload of amps and knows what he's on about.
He was spot on with this. From the 1st note. ..the heft....tubey, tubby round tone just shone. And this was without touching any eq nor the other channel
And. ..if it wasn't for the hopeless AUD/USD exchange rate I'd be grabbing a Rumble 500 as a lightweight option too. But they're over $1k out here at the mo... and no 2nd hand ones around so far. ..so I'm sticking with my Aguilar TH500 for this option at present.

Beautiful! And the Bassman 500 would look exactly the same I s'pose. And agree re the weight of the Bassman Pro cabs. .... the 115 I'll almost throw thru the roof. ... compared to the ol days. ... geeez I wish 115 cabs weighed this much back in the 80s n 90s.... in the 70s I was young enough. ..and enthusiastic enough. ...and had enthusiastic band mates that would help with everything. ...but in the late 80s/early 90s I had regular gigs at a club that was on the 3rd floor. ....from 1am - 4am...every Friday (well Saturday really). And damn those cabs weighed a HEAP more at 4.30am than they did at 11pm (physicists help me here). I even dropped my EV TL606 (115) between the 1st & ground floor - well, threw would be more correct - as I'm my over tired state, I missed a step or 2 and it was either me breaking a leg or the cab being tossed down the last few steps of the 3 flight journey.

Not that I need another amp. ...but I wish my local would get a Bassman 500 in for me to try

Well, that does it. I LOVE the look of that stack. Now I'm officially GAS-ing for a BM 500 head/2-115 rig. Big time.

Well. ..my local got a Bassman 500 in & I tried it out this morning thru a Bassman Pro Neo 115 cab.
Sounded great. Similar to the Super Bassman. .... close but. .. well, I love power tubes, so I won't be grabbing it. But if I was in the market for a damn good looking and sounding 500w class D amp. .. with great sounding drive that's foot switchable.. it's a winner!
Very impressed.

That makes me feel real good about wanting the Bassman 500. I would love the Super Bassman 300, but I can't justify the cost right now. So knowing the 500 is in the same neighborhood, makes me more confident in buying one as a main gigger. (Rumble 500 v3 as a backup)

Dunno if I'd bother getting one if I already had a Rumble 500 as it's got a damn good overdrive already. ....and the nice VINTAGE switch option. But. ... I'm me and each to his own.
I sure wouldn't NOT recommend it coz it sounded great, looked great and had the 2 channels. .plus it's definitely in the SB ball park. Plus, it's a nice light weight ! Win win win!

How about the BM500 vs your TH500 Rod? Like you, I've got a SBM and a TH500, and love both, but not really needing anything more, but it was a toss up whether to go for the SBM or the BM500.
