Hi jdubbass38.
It's a 115v3 sitting under a 410v3.
I really haven't had a chance to crank it up yet. I'll be jamming over the holidays, and I plan on trying it with the 115 on the bottom, and then on the top, just to hear what sounds best.
I liked the idea of the 115 and 410, as I can vary it sometimes and just take one of the cabs, or the full rig (if it'll fit in my car).

Ok...I was wondering, the top cab does look taller now that I look at it again. I'm defently interested with your review on the rumble 115 cab. Wonderful looking rig as well, fender has its act together on these amps/ cabs!

Played the fender 410 neo out for the first time last night with the fender bassman 500. The 410 sounded great under the bassman 500 not to mention it just looks cool! I can only imagine what the super bassman will sound like thru it.

The Super Bassman sounds great through the 410.

The Super Bassman doesn't take Speakon, so both my original and the new one are old school speaker cables.

I'm surprised the Super Bassman doesn't have the Speakon. The Bassman 100T is lacking a Speakon as well. Why install a Speakon on the Bassman cabs, and not the tube heads that need to have a connection load.

Re the lack of speakon on the tube Bassmans . . I'm fine with the jack plugs myself. .. but have heard - iirc - that it's sumthin to do with the trip/cut off switch with the all tube amps. They apparently have some sort of trip switch that disengages the trannys (or something ) if there's an impromptu unplug or speaker lead problem and thus speakon plugs make this harder or. ...again. ...sumthin.
As always. .. I could be wrong :-)

I've ordered a couple of new preamp tubes for my 500 head. Still getting sporadic minor volume fluctuations at low levels. Could be a connector/pin issue, but if I'm pulling them out to clean them then I may as well replace them.
I bought it secondhand, so who knows what it's been through.
The ones in it are Groove Tubes, but I ordered an EH and a Svetlana, just for something different.
Here's my question, though. Are V1 and V2 dedicated to a particular channel? Like, V1 vintage, and V2 overdrive?
That way I could swap them around if one tube gives a better clean or crunch sound than the other, and vice versa.

Thanks rodl2005.
According to the Bassman 500 manual, if the Vintage channel is fine but the Overdrive channel is not working unless Blend is at 1 or more, then the V2 tube might be bad. This makes me pretty sure that V1 is Vintage and V2 is Overdrive.
I should have a google at the Super, as it seems to be of the same design, but with more tubes!!

Bassman 800 arrived earlier this week. Used it on a gig last night. I'm very happy...View attachment 1011493

Sweet looking setup...I have the Bassman 500...such a great sounding amp for a hybrid and how light it is! I bet that rig screams with the 800! I found that the Bassman 500 records amazingly well...especially in post eq mode. Being able to dial in what I'm hearing live is really nice! Enjoy your new setup!

Thanks! It was surprisingly loud, but part of that could be due to me trying to dial in what I needed on a very small stage. I had it between 3 and 4 and they took me out of the FOH because the 410 covered the large room on its own.

I have a pair of the Neo Pro 410's. I'll get a chance in early February to stack it all and play it. Should be fun...

Have been enjoying the informative reviews regarding the Bassman 500...and appreciate all the 500 has to offer. As an old bass player, concerned with the logistics of moving gear in and out...I'm looking for suggestions on a cab selection. If you had a choice of one cab, say 410 vs 115, rumble or neo, which would you choose? Keeping in mind adding a second cab in the future...thx!

Bass Stream - I'm older as well. I've played through a lot of cabs (GAS is a wonderful thing sometimes). I have a pair of the Fender Neo 410's and I couldn't be happier. At 56 pounds each they are easy to lug around. One is plenty for just about everything I do. Two of them are way easier to move than my Ampeg 810.
