Fender Customshop??? Purple Sparkle!

Yeah dude, don't listen to the collective wisdom / consensus.
Enjoy your Funder CustomSlop.

Not saying it's the case here, but more often than not, I swear it's the fakers themselves posting their forgeries here FOR us to vet out wrong, so they can make better fakes. Stop doing it. You're exacerbating the problem. Just say "FAKE" and move on.

This is an interesting perspective, maybe the fakers need to read old threads about fakes before they try and make one...

Hahaha, ok. But I think you're not right.

FYI you come across rude as hell so I am shocked anyone has even bothered to help you.

Its not even a fender shaped headstock, who would reshape a Fender CS headstock? No one. Or have to shave down the G string tuner plate to fit them on the headstock. Let alone take out what would of been CTS pots and throw in some Chinese electronics, but they do match the rest of the bass which is likely a Chinese made $100 bass with some repaint, guard and schaller bridge. Worth $200 if that.

$200 would be way too much for this Chinese knockoff. I'd say $125

Ya'll are being a little hard on OP.

I, too, own a Fender Custom Shop (Strat) that has been re-wired, re-shaped, re-painted and re-branded because, well, you know,
some guys just like to tinker.

OP, I'm down to star a club if you are!

Meanwhile, here's my CS Fender Strat:

Put your heart away and open your mind. This is not a Fender CS. If you can, go get all or some of your money back. If you spent more than a few hundred on this you got robbed. If you spent a few hundred, and it plays great, keep it and rock it. Please PLEASE do not try to sell this as a Fender CS. That would be wrong because you have been told.

The color should be easy to spot on the open market.
