In the 1950s IBM famously had a dress code for employees that specifically prohibited brown shoes with blue suits. I figure tort on that bass is the same infraction. YMMV.

Hey All. Just got my first P. American Pro 2 '23 in Dark Night. I love the black to blue fade, but wasn't sure about the black on black pickguard. Put on the Fender Aged White Moto as I thought it would pop more and add a nice contrast.

What do you guys think?
Did I make the right choice? (Thumbs up, yes for White OR Sad face, stuck with black)

They both look fine with the finish. I probably would’ve gone parchment since I don’t love Moto pickguards, but that’s just personal preference. It doesn’t look out of place or wonky if you like that look. I kind of...

This is one time where Fender blew it.
The pickguard, like the Antigua pickguard, should match the bass.
Imagine it with a blue/black fade pickguard.
