Didn't you know? The TalkBass Police have the power to enter your home at any time and inspect your Fenders for authenticity. If you fail the inspection, they'll....why...they'll....talk bad about you on the internet!

IMO, If you are doing it "just for you" then SAND IT OFF before you sell it.
Are you letting them come to their own conclusion? or are you flat out lying to them?Hell, every time I step on a stage I hope I'm hopefully misleading a large number of women that I'm less old and boring that I really am. Is that really any less bad than trying to mislead other musicians that you can afford a more expensive bass than you really can?
I know it's not quite the same thing, but I'm also in the process of acquiring a Burberry plaid Squier, so... that will be flat out lying, won't it?Are you letting them come to their own conclusion? or are you flat out lying to them?
I'm going to presume that you know right from wrong.I know it's not quite the same thing, but I'm also in the process of acquiring a Burberry plaid Squier, so... that will be flat out lying, won't it?
Maybe. I still want a fake Louis Vuitton bag for my double bass, though.I'm going to presume that you know right from wrong.
I'm a living room rocker. I haven't played out in years. So if I put together a parts bass and just for kicks I put a Fender logo on it, who exactly am I misleading on the performing stage? Please answer accurately because you spoke as if you had all the answers.![]()
The same reason you have such an aversion to it I suppose. Personal taste. Why would you put a Fender logo on your non-Fender bass? Seriously. What would drive you to do that??
