Where did you, or more to the point, where can I, get that!?!Something tells me I'm into something good....
On closeout....Stew-Mac, marked down to159.00 bones! Swamp ash. Just waiting on pickguard from WD and a bridge. Will hopefully be together within the week then my Steve Harris bass might want to get jiggly with it.

I saw those painted bodies on StewMac too, and I'd have one myself, if they had a PJ version (or if I wasn't afraid I'd ruin the paint by routing out a J pup hole).
Classic Vibe P Body (from a fellow TBer), MIM Jazz neck (Stratosphere), Gotoh bridge, SD SPB-1, Bayou Cables harness, Warmoth pickguard, Hipshot tuners and now strung with Sadowsky Black Label Flats. The body is pretty light and resonant--neck dive isn't an issue. I had to plug and drill for the bridge as the CV's have a high-mass bridge with a different screw pattern than the standard Fender. I put it together with no issues, although I wouldn't mind having the frets cleaned up a little.

Another Fender MIM body, Warmoth maple/pau ferro fretless neck, Hipshot Ultralight Tuners, Seymour Duncan SPB-3. My main bass now, very light and she hums! Traded for the body and bought the neck from fellow TBers.

JIO is doing one he has drilled and routed and no chips...tuff stuff the finish. Have at one!

I can't recommend anyone in your neck of the woods, but a good place to start is to ask at your favourite local music store. They'll usually have someone on speed dial who does good work...
Unless you want to ship it to a real expert, in which case others can help, I'm sure.

I really like this Axe and I hope you didnt change the pick guard its what makes it stand out, different, original really cool bass man...HELP?!? Does ANYONE have a "kosher" pick guard for this little fella? It's an '83 Squire Bullet I got a long time ago, it's been a keeper, plays and sounds great, but it had this pick guard on it which is pretty much some 12 year old kids failed shop project. Black, white, tort, ANYTHING but THIS. I will try Tricked Out Squire Club too...suggestions?

How bout these 2 Ladies,All I did was swap the necks and pick guards,I reshaped the headstock on the maple neck and put a vintage bridge on the black mim body...
I know of this place in Orlando but those guys seem stuck in the dark ages. Called them once to have EMGs installed and they said something along the lines that they're not fans of them so they won't install them for me and only refinish their own guitars.
