Fender Fullerton Reissue club

If it has the serial number on the headstock it is a Fullerton made P Bass that isn’t an AVRI. I think they usually start with E3 and are generally well liked basses. If the serial number is on the neck plate and starts with a V it is most likely a Fullerton reissue. Do you have any pics?

Could be "just" a "Standard" Precision Bass made in Fullerton in 1983. E3 serial ... just like joker wrote.

Non original nut

Nuts will crack and breakaway after +25yrs long period of playing. A newly cut bone nut with correct period spacing shouldn't take away the value IMHO.

Did the original pickups from these basses come with cloth wiring? The 1982 ‘62 P I recently sold had an old set of spare pickups with plain enamel wiring. The previous owner did not believe they were original. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Mt 83j is cloth/tweed. Seems to be sorta waxed too

I think i read in this thread that there were some leftover plastic wires used as OG in a few rare cases. Could be wrong tho. Its in here somewhere...

Interesting. I don’t have the pickups on me as I just sold the bass to another member on here. Trying to help him do the research. Are there any numbers or markings on the back of the pickups that would help identify them? I seem to remember the back of them being blank, maybe had a random number.

I have owned four Fullertons P's over the years. Three (one 82, two from 83) of them had cloth (most common), but one from '82 had plastic. All four were 100% original.

I have a late? 80s 62 Jazz Bass Mary Kay/Gold hardware. Got it as a damn gift from a friend who I helped kick a coke habit. He later became a successful businessman. A couple things about this bass. 1 - The Serial Number V0.... doesn't show up in any serial number searches. And 2 - The taper on the concentric pots is nearly nonexistent, they're more like on and off switches. Can anyone help me on either of these issues? Here she is with my terrible decision pick guard.

The fender site wont pull up some of these older V serials. What arevthe next few #s? Pots might need a cleaning with DeOxit

Looks like an ~1987-88 early Corona Model (with ~V03XXX), those Mary Kay came before the CustomShop started. Body is ash with a translucent white finish.

Where can I find out more about these Corona basses? I reckon they're pretty good?

That is nothing. My untouched '82 is even 0,7cm deeper.

Can you post a pic from the headstock, is your rosewood flat or curved - like in the picture?
