How does the 57 P neck compare to the 62 P neck. I’ve played a Fullerton 62 P and loved it. But I also love maple boards. Is the 57 chunkier in any way? Or are they similar?

Not similar. Not chunkier at all, a bit more V-shaped - but really nice to play too.

I have owned four Fullertons P's over the years. Three (one 82, two from 83) of them had cloth (most common), but one from '82 had plastic. All four were 100% original.

Never happened. Sorry.

The only Fullerton-era '57 Precision Reissue I see on Reverb is out of the United Kingdom in very good condition.

I've got a JV Precision and an '81 G&L L2000. The necks on both are quite similar, wide and thin. The JV is 1 10.5/16" and the L2000 is 1 11/16". They're both approximately .080" at 1st fret and .094" at 12th fret.

I've been GASsing for an AVRI P for a while, but the ones I've tried have all had a too fat necks. I've read that the Fullerton RI's had a thinner neck, but haven't been able to find any specs. With the amount of basses in this club, I hope that someone could please take the time to measure their P-neck.

Hi guys! I just bought a 57 RI Fullerton from a guy here on talkbass.

Cause for concern:
The listing logo and the logo on the bass now are different (see attached). They apparently tampered with the decal after they listed it and sanded off the type under "PRECISION BASS".

The neck pocket pocket looks strange..

Additionally he shipped it without a box - case only. And the neck plate is very deeply seated into the wood (this was not disclosed either).

I'm just concerned in general. Everyone on talkbass has always been so helpful I'd just like to be fully informed before I file a claim with PayPal.
