Fender honeyburst p-bass

I was beat to the Honeyburst with tort guard pic.....but here's another to make you drool. Great bass (if found for under $650 (in my opinion).

Beautiful! But in my mind it's just begging for cream instead of black pickup covers.

No problem. If you pull the pg off and look at the tone control, you can visually see if you have it. The standard tone control will have 1 capacitor on it, while the Greasebucket has more than 1. That's how it's been described to me, anyways.

You're correct. The greasebucket circuit uses two caps.

I love mine. I don't gig with it too much, don't want it to get beat up. Classic Pbass sound, to my ear.

Still watching for a deal,but can anyone tell me what the thickness is of the neck at 1st and 12th fret? I was looking at necks on Fenders site and both USA Precision necks say slim modern c profile. My MIM 2004 P-bass has the same measurements.

I have a 2012 (bought new in 2012) w/grease bucket circuit, weighs well under 8 lbs.
Love this bass, great neck, slim, so easy to play, and it's got the lowest action I've ever seen, sounds amazing. When I saw it on the wall and then played it, it became my mission to own that bass, money well spent. Buy if you can find!
