pbass888 said:Do the fender japan jazzes have different lines (like highway 1, roadworn, american special, mia etc)? The 62 jazz vs the 62 us for example goes for about 20k yen difference on the fender japan official site.
Id be curious as what the differences are a I see a wide range of prices on the bay for these instruments.
with the "badasu" bridge.

I, too, think that bass is about as awesome as they come. A very suitable choice to fill the gap, though, would be a Victor Bailey.

The walnut headstock is about the most beautiful I have ever seen, and I mean including any "boutique" makers output. ANY.
The beauty of walnut is just hard to beat, even with exotic woods in the mix.
iJazz - Make mine a four string, please.
My Aerodyne was made in Japan and it is very well constructed. The pieces parts have been replaced by me (due to where it falls in the Fender product line, they were not high quality) but the fit and finish of the bass is supreme. When I got mine, I was choosing between a '62 reissue and the Aerodyne.........and I chose the Aerodyne for it's well built feel. Honestly, the tolerances were much better in the "Crafted in Japan" bass.
