Fender Jazz rumours..?

Of course Fender has to do SOMETHING to keep sales going. But how much can a Jazz bass be improved over what's already been produced? Secondly, will whatever the upcoming newest/latest/greatest be such an upgrade over what you can buy on the used market that has already been pre-depreciated?
I’d like to see a bass version of their Acoustasonic line.
The fender American territory series. Uses woods native to Puerto Rico and Guam.
Empress or just lighter weight bodies are my guess.
G&L, Sandberg, and even Musicman have made changes for more low weight options. Plus, a lot of them use lighter hardware on those new models.
Something tells me they know people are choosing those other options solely based on weight and if a line ever needed a weight reduction, it’s the Fender Jazz with its bigger body and two pups.

You will hear of jazz and rumors of jazz, but see to it you are not alarmed...
That's it, I'm not buying anymore Jazz basses until The Fender Omnipotent Series comes out.
I'm holding out for the grafting of the Omnipotent series with the Omniscient series! Then, and only then, there will be One to rule them all! Bwaaaaa!

Or even a Fender for matter If I was in the market for Jazz Bass right now and was going to spend over a grand it would be this right here Elrick NJS 4 or 5 and if I was spending under a Grand it would be Sire V5 upgrade the bridge throw in a John East or Audere Pre and enjoy the roast maple neck for a lifetime.

The Deluxe Series came in around 1995, replacing the Jazz Bass Plus series...
Yes, but the preamp only had the bass/treble controls stacked.
It was the update in 2010 which added 2 sets of stacked knobs.

No Sir, it already features the concentric knob, 3-band preamp. Perhaps the 2010 models were added the passive switch.
I've seen the 2007 ADJB with two stacked controls, but without the passive switch.
