For one, the name doesn't sound too appealing for Spanish speakers. If you say "cabroncita" instead of "Cabronita", you have a rather strong word in Spanish, particularly refering to a girl or woman.

Fender La Cabronita Precision Bass

It is not really that bad... I have explain what it means a few pages before. It is a mix of a bastard (not in the real meaning, more the way a friend call another friend in a friendly chat) and Bonita wich means beautiful in fem. so a cabronita is a mix of two words but I think it can be translated as a beautiful bad woman that breaks your heart. I like the name and I'm from Spain but I remember first two weeks calling to stores asking if they have that bass and some of them thought It was a phone prank.
Just unboxed mine haven't got to play it yet but so far fit and finish is perfect. Looks like it will need a set up but thats not surprising considering it came from a 40 something degree Colorado to 80 degree Texas. Heres a mandatory pic for proof.
Bastard? With that you mean "cabrona"? Yeah, in Mexico at least, that's a strong word to refer to a woman, even if she is indeed kind of a bitch. If it was between men ("cabrón"), the word is sometimes used between friends, but it can also mean "bastard", as you pointed out.
I dunno. It still sounds kinda ugly to me, even with "bonita" in the mix. But to each their own. The bass itself, by the way, looks kinda nice (awesome headstock!) but I don't dig the pickup.

I'd like to hear this bass with Pyramid flats. I had the TI's on hand, so that's what I used.
Its got a cnc hole but yeah it would be pretty cool if you could go no pickguard.

Here's another silly question. Do you think that a 50's style bridge cover would fit over that bridge? Might make the bass look the part a bit more.
I measured the bridge its the same size as a badass 2 so I don't know if i will fit over that. Its really not much wider than the bent plate bridge on my other fender but its longer. The bridge was the one thing I though looked kinda off in pictures but in person it seems to fit the look of the bass.

For those who know how to trick pictures with photoshop... Can anybody post a pic of a red cabronita with a 55 precision shape white pickguard (similar to the telecaster bass pickguard)
Also, has anybody try to fit a telecaster bridge cover over the stock bridge?

Dang it. Was supposed to use my Cab live for the first time tonight, but that's not happening. Nothing wrong with the bass, but it was an outdoor show and it's 35 degrees and raining. Not exactly what I was expecting for May!
I don't understand the dislike of the bridge or even weirder, the desire to replace it with a (overrated IMO) Badass. In my mind, either you like the look of the vintage style over the Fender HiMass, or you feel the Badass is that much better of a design. It's not. 
The Badass is a decent bridge, but if you're looking for a better design, try a Hipshot A or a Babicz. The Fender HiMass is a fine bridge design with no need for replacement. Also IMO.
