Can anybody post a pic of a red cabronita with a telecaster pickguard to see how it looks?

I would, but I dont have such a pickguard.

I don't understand the dislike of the bridge or even weirder, the desire to replace it with a (overrated IMO) Badass. In my mind, either you like the look of the vintage style over the Fender HiMass, or you feel the Badass is that much better of a design. It's not.

The Badass is a decent bridge, but if you're looking for a better design, try a Hipshot A or a Babicz. The Fender HiMass is a fine bridge design with no need for replacement. Also IMO.

We shouldn't forget that most of us want to have support in the own country (and mother tongue) if something goes wrong! Also creating the website in mother tongue costs time (and money).

No advertisments in music magazines? Only on the website?
And no presentation on the "Musikmesse" because a stand is too expensive but only at the NAMM?

No, man. Here in Holland it is 'mostly' converted in a 0.85 ratio or so. 1 dollar becomes 0.85 euros

Fender HiMass, however, is a piece of jewelry that puts form over function.

The Fender "High Mass" bridge is obviously trying to emulate he look of a Badass. Both bridges work great & are very similar with the Badass being a little larger and having more robust saddles. (The saddles are the only part I would call "better".)

Honestly, I've installled Badass bridges on a number of clients basses and I haven't noticed any improvement over the old style Fender bent plate bridge other than the saddles moving less when prodded. (Please don't flame me, I just don't hear the sustain and tone difference.)

The bridge is fine. It seems to be solid, and I'm certainly not going to pony up the cash to put a $100 aftermarket bridge on a Mexican Fender. Just IMHO.

Yes and they are awesome. They really have their stuff down at the mexican plant. The last three fenders I bought are MIM and each one had no flaws. Tight neck pockets, no sharp frets, no finish imperfections 100% playable right out of the box.

Yeah, I was shocked at how well my Mexi Cabronita was put together! Flawless paint (literally), tight neck pocket, good fretwork (not perfect fret ends but very good) and even the setup was great!

My Cabronita is at the depot for the whole week-end. I have to wait until Monday to get. It's so close I can smell it!!! Oh the agony.

I just read pretty much the entire thread, and from the sound of things here and on Fender's demo, this checks off a lot of boxes.

I like the deep U shaped neck with gloss finish, I think the humbucker just a little closer to the bridge than on a 1K is a great idea, and the tone is exactly what I love. I even like the Fadass bridge (IFIK, Fender bought the rights to build Badass bridges).

Too bad I only discovered it after I decided to shift my focus to extended scale fretless fivers.

That sucks dude but Monday is getting closer. You said you wanted to put chromes on it, you should put chromes on it. I just put on a set I had laying around and as much as I liked this bass before its ten times better now.

What gauge Chromes do you have on. I have a 50 - 105 set but I'm worried it might be too hard to play with that big neck. I was thinking maybe a 45 - 100 set. Thanks for posting your opinion.

I am not 100% certain because this set came off a used bass I bought but if I had to guess I think they are 45-100's.

I would go without a pickguard myself but there's that cnc hole to deal with. Any ideas on how to hide that thing?

would love to see the 51 without the control plate - just the pickguard (get rid of the control plate notch) and knobs.

that 72 pickguard looks wicked! love it!
