Fender La Cabronita Precision Bass

Just received mine. Looks awesome and sounds even better. Even with the stock strings. Much louder than my Squier CV 50s Pbass. The neck is also very similar to the squier's in terms of playability. I don't have the biggest hands!! I'm slapping on Chromes this evening. I'll post pics ASAP. If you're thinking about getting this bass just stop thinking and just do it!!!!

Just because I like you guys:

Can you make the top version with tort?

PLEASE!!!!

They aren't expensive enough to rule out a refinish.

I've got a beat Douglas Pisces that I was about to piece out or sell cheap, but I think I may just make a po'man Pink Cabronita out of it.

The Pisces has a top rout so I think I'd just mod the pickguard shape a little to mate with the control plate better. Then fill the SCPB route with some bondo, route for a TV Jones Thunderblade, rough sand, and ReRanch. Total ghetto, but sounds like a fun project and I'd really only be out sweat, sore elbow, and a few bucks.

Something like this:

The question is : would a '51 bridge cover fit over that bridge?? BTW put Chromes on my Cabronita this morning and she purrs with the tone rolled off and she bites when you roll it on. I could not be happier!

the telecaster bridge cover is supoused to be 3" inner diameter in the narrow part and 4" inner in the wide part but I dont know how long is it. I think it dosent fit.

It would be grat if someone with a tele bridge cover can measure it so somebody can make a copy in paper board to se if it fits...
