Sadly none of those shops ships internatioanlly. Or to Italy, at least. The ony American shop I had found via Amazon that sold internationally didn't stock it anymore.

Also, I'm staggered by the price. It's in the Italian importer webstie even if not available, and the street price was 900 euros. Damn them, for 380 I wouldn't even think about that.

@Mr_Martin i've come late to this as a newbie on the site, but I have a cab just like @SonnyBassPlayer above and love it, I got mine second hand, year old and mint for £300 which I think is a good price.

The fidelitron pup always sits a bit quieter in the mix when playing the heavier stuff. I've bought a creation audio mk4.23 clean boost to help, but I am interested in the mod you have made.

How has that affected the sound, volume etc?

There's a new mod on my bass
- Custom Bassculture Pickup + a GFS Hot Jazz Bass pickup (both wired direct to the output, pots have no function)

My band was in the studio last month, so this is how the bass looks and sounds now.

The Cabronita Tele's a dang sweet. They are dirty and just have that perfect grit for blues or even some country. HOWEVER, I have little faith in that pick up for a bass.

Don't know why. "Tron type pickups have been around for decades. And they sound great with bass. Gretsch used that design almost exclusively for many years. Check out TV Jones who makes some very popular aftermarket trons for bass if you're wondering.

Looks like Fender did their own version.

@40Hz @Mr_Martin that bass looks sweeeeeeeet! I know you have changed out the fidelitron, however i do rather like it as a pick up. If i mod-ed similar to you and put something a bit hotter, would it overshadow the sound? If i were to do that what would you recommend? It would be so i could cut through a bit more in rock type tunes

I finally got to play mine at a gig a couple of weeks ago. It worked with this band (classic rock/country,) but when I used it with the pop band I play with I didn't like it at all. It has all the low end anyone would ever need and the output is just fine.

AH! I modded mine the same way last year! I left the original pickup though, and replaced the bridge with a vintage one, cause the ashtray didn't cover the Hi-Mass completely.

Honestly with the high mass bridge, i din't want the ashtray to cover it up completely as you can see i wanted the name out and i din't think it was going to work but hey it worked in my favor, as for the pickup i know there are parts of the cavity exposed but does it bring any problems? i love the way it sounds, the fidelitron pickup it had sounded dead, wanted something vintage so i contacted seymur duncan for one of those antiquity pickups

Mudbucker has a volume pot (currently 250k with an EB0-styled .01uf cap), no current tone (will wire a 500k resistor and .33uf pot) and an output.
Fidelitrons are wired like a Jazz, VVT (250k pots and a .47uf cap) to an ounput.

It's an awful mess in there, the extended wiring, extra pot, splices and electrical tape jammed into the 7/8 scale body (it's a 32")is a mess, and compacted. I'm gonna pickup a set of replacement CTS minipots in 500k and redo that so it's nice and clean.
